“Sunset Blvd East of Hollywood” is a mixed media photography piece. Size 48″h x 72″w. The image is an original photograph taken on Sunset Blvd in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles. High density gator board mounted on frame. The surface is prepared with 2 coats of gesso. The image is torn in numerous places and pieced back together mounting on the gator board with acrylic gel medium. Once dry, the surface of the print is first sealed with a coat of acrylic varnish. When dry, the image is manipulated with texture, paint, charcoal and air brush.
